Los Angeles, October 23 - Sensational Kannada blockbuster Kantara continues its golden run at the domestic as well as the overseas box office and nears the Rs. 200 crores mark. Made on a cheap budget of approx. 15 crores, the Rishab Shetty-starrer truly has a journey at the box office so far.

Produced by Hombale Films, "Kantara" has reached a massive milestone at the USA box office as well. It has become only the second Kannada movie ever to reach the $1 million mark, after the recent global blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2.



"Kantara" has had a slow start in the USA, grossing just $25K on an opening day. But just like its domestic run, the movie witnessed remarkable growth over the weekdays at the USA box office and crossed $1 million in 23 days, thanks to extraordinary word of mouth.

Having said that, "Kantara" is not only going all guns blazing at the box office but it is also ruling the rating charts. It is the highest-rated Indian movie on IMDb, and also the highest-rated film on ticketing site Book My Show.
