Los Angeles, July 13 - Ryan Gosling is one of the respected actors in the Hollywood film industry working today for his roles in films like The Notebook, Drive, and La La Land just to name a few. He is currently shooting for Margot Robbie-fronted "Barbie" as well as busy in the promotional activities of Russo Brothers' "The Gray Man".

Meanwhile, for the last few weeks, rumors have been making noise regarding Gosling's Marvel debut. The actor has been in-demand to play a comic-book hero and was reportedly considered for the role of the Lone Ranger, Joker in Suicide Squad, and even Doctor Strange in the MCU. While he ended up doing none of them, the latest rumor is about Marvel's movie based on Richard Rider, aka Nova, which is reportedly to make its Marvel debut in the coming years.

Rumor has it that not only is a project based on the space-faring character set to go into production in 2023 but there's already an actor cast in the leading role - Ryan Gosling. However, the actor has denied such rumours, instead, he has revealed which Marvel character he wants to play.

Josh Horowitz of MTV News spoke with Gosling and talked about the MCU. The actor finally responded to his Marvel debut rumors suggesting that he has been cast as the MCU's Nova, Richard Rider. But is in not true (as of now).

"Next week my full chat w/Ryan Gosling for MTV News... But for now, an honest-to-goodness EXCLUSIVE... Ryan and I chatted about the Nova rumors yesterday which he said aren't true. BUT this morning Ryan reached out to me to say there is one superhero he wants to play...GHOST RIDER", Horowitz said in a tweet.

There have already been two movies on Ghost Rider, played by Nicolas Cage in 2007 and 2012. Created by Roy Thomas, Gary Friedrich, and Mike Ploog in Marvel Spotlight #5 in 1972, the original Ghost Rider was a stuntman named Johnny Blaze. It will be interesting to see if Gosling gets a chance to play the Cursed Rider.

Stay tuned...
