Mumbai, March 24 - Amazon Prime Video's latest Indian web series
Farzi is creating a sensation among digital viewers. Released on February 10, 2023, the black comedy crime thriller was the most-watched web series this week.
According to Ormax Media, "Farzi" is now the most-watched SVOD original Indian series of all time. During this week, it took the top spot and is expected to be watched by an estimated 37 Million Indians by the end of its run.
Created by Raj & DK and starring Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, and Raashii Khanna in the leading roles, "Farzi" has crossed the lifetime viewership of Disney+Hotstar's "Rudra: The Edge of Darkness" which was watched was 35.2 million Indian households, per Ormax Media.
The series is about Sunny, an artist disillusioned by the income inequality in India after failing to keep his grandfather's revolutionary printing press in business. He decides to team up with his best friend Firoz to make counterfeit money. They face challenges from Mansoor, a gangster, and Michael, a cop.
