Director Ali Abbas Zafar's 'Jogi' Fronted By Diljit Dosanjh Hits Over 3 Million Viewing Hours In The Opening Weekend

Mumbai, September 22 - Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar's drama film Jogi, which is based on 1984's anti-Sikh riots, has been released on Netflix and is being appreciated by the audience.
The movie starring Diljit Dosanjh in the title role scored 3.08 million viewing hours on the opening weekend (Sept. 16 - 18) and was the 7th most watched non-English film worldwide during the week on Netflix. The film is expected to score higher numbers in the ongoing week as reviews are super positive for this one.
"Jogi" is set in Delhi's eastside neighborhood of Trilokpuri, and depicts a three-day period in the immediate aftermath of the assassination of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on 31 October 1984. Diljit Dosanjh called these riots genocide in a recent interview with PTI.
Meanwhile, among the other most-watched Indian films on Netflix, John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor's Ek Villain Returns remained in the top 5 for the second consecutive week. It scored 5.16 million viewing hours during the week of September 12 - September 18 and was the third most-watched non-English film on the streamer. It drew 4.75 million viewing hours on the opening weekend.
