Akshay Kumar-Fronted 'Sky Force' Shoot Details Revealed
Mumbai, May 16 - It is known to everyone that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is doing an aerial action thriller film, titled Sky Force with Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and Jio Studios.
"Sky Force", which is being co-directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur, is touted to be a true cinematic tentpole. The movie is based on true events and celebrates one of the greatest triumphs of the Indian Air Force.
Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, Akshay has allotted 4 months to shoot the film and has already completed a short first schedule, beginning on May 9 in a Mumbai studio. It was a brief schedule where some talkie portions were filmed with Akshay and other cast members.
The report further revealed that the main schedule will begin next month and will continue through October 2023. The action-packed thriller will be shot on a massive scale across numerous air bases in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Assam over a four-month period. Akshay plays the role of an Air Force officer in the movie.
Akshay Kumar has already finished the highly-awaited action entertainer "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan", scheduled to release on Eid 2024, under the direction of Ali Abbas Zafar and will complete the remaining portion for Dharma Productions' C. Shankaran Nair biopic this month before focusing solely on "Sky Force".
Meanwhile, Akki already has a number of films lined up for release this year and next year. Abundantia Entertainment's "Soorarai Pottru" remake is scheduled to release on September 1 while Tinu Desai's "The Great Indian Rescue" is rumored to hitting cinemas in October this year. He also has "OMG 2" ready to release.
