Mumbai, January 27 - Over the last few years, Ajay Devgn has been one of the most successful Bollywood actors with back-to-back box office hits to his name. The actor has hardly put a foot wrong in the last 5-6 years with two of his last four films turning out to be his biggest blockbusters in the form of "Tanhaji" and "Drishyam 2".
Ajay Devgn is now gearing up for his next which is titled "Bholaa", co-starring Tabu. He also turns director for this action thriller which is easily one of the most-awaited Bollywood films of the year despite the odds. It is the remake of the Tamil hit "Kaithi".
The remakes haven't had a great time at the box office post the covid-19 pandemic as almost all of them met with the same flop fate. However, it was Ajay Devgn's "Drishyam 2", the remake of the Malayalam film of the same name, which proved that even remakes can work if made well as it grossed over 340 crores worldwide.
"Bholaa", despite carrying the tag of being a remake, is making the right noise before its release as the audience is speaking highly positively about it. Ajay, the director seems to have taken utmost care while making the film as the difference between "Bholaa" and "Kaithi" can be seen in the two teasers released so far.
Everything that the makers have released so far regarding "Bholaa", be it posters or teaser, has raised anticipation and there is genuine excitement building up among the audiences. The idea to shoot the film also in 3D format also seems to be working in its favor big time as "Bholaa" is more large-scale and massively mounted than "Kaithi". The music by Ravi Basrur is another major aspect of the movie that is being discussed very positively on social media.
As far as the box office chances of the film are concerned, "Bholaa" is having a very positive buzz among audiences and it should be able to take a good start.
"Bholaa" is produced by Ajay Devgn FFilms, Dream Warrior Pictures, T-Series Films, and Reliance Entertainment. It also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Gajraj Rao, Sanjay Mishra, and Makarand Deshpande in supporting roles, with Amala Paul and Abhishek Bachchan in special appearances. The movie is scheduled to release on March 30, 2023.
