Hyderabad, June 14, 2021: As the covid-19 lockdown restrictions have been eased in most of the states, the shootings of films, shows have commenced. Recently, Bollywood biggie Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar resumed shooting in YRF studio while Adipurush, Pathan, among others will commence shooting in the coming days.
The Telugu remake of Hindi movie Andhadhun, Maestro starring Nithiin, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Nabha Natesh has also commenced the final schedule in Hyderabad today on June 14 following the safety protocols.
Maestro is directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and produced by Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy under the banner of Shresht Movies. The movie was announced in February 2020 while the title "Maestro" was revealed in March 2021.
Maestro is a black comedy crime thriller film, which is the official remake of Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, and Radhika Apte starrer 2018 film Andhadhun. It tells the story of a blind piano player who unwittingly becomes embroiled in the murder of a former film actor.
In February 2021, Maestro's release date was announced as 11 June 2021, however, due to the second wave of the covid-19 pandemic, makers had to postpone the release date as shooting is yet to be completed. The new release date will be announced soon.
