Mumbai, August 26 - The horror has come alive as Vijay Deverakonda's Liger
falls massively on the second day itself after taking a record but underwhelming start upon its Thursday release in Telugu version.
The Puri Jagannadh-directed sports action drama film scored 15.5 crores net on the first day, including 13.80 crores in Telugu. On its first Friday (2nd day), the movie scored an estimated 6-8 crores net for all languages.
The only saving moment of the day for the movie is that the Hindi version starts well and scores an estimated 3.50-4 crores net today, which is technically its first day. The total Hindi collection including Thursday previews is around 5 crores net.
Liger will need miracles to cover the lost ground in the remaining two days of the opening weekend. The Hindi version may give some relief, however, that won't be easy as word of mouth is negative. The other versions are nowhere in the scene, which means the movie is heading for a big disappointment.About This Movie
