Riddle delivers a series of kicks, but Gunther blocks one and responds with a chop. Gunther follows up with a boot to the head and another chop. Riddle fights back with forearms and chops. He lands a Pele kick, followed by a running forearm into the corner and a second one. Gunther blocks Riddle's exploder suplex attempt, but Riddle quickly transitions into a heel hook, grapevining Gunther's leg. Gunther manages to get back to his feet and stomps on Riddle before connecting with forearms.

Riddle continues to unleash a barrage of kicks, but Gunther counters one by sweeping Riddle's leg. Gunther then removes the tape around Riddle's injured foot and proceeds to deliver a knee drop onto the leg. Gunther stomps on Riddle's foot once again and continues with more kicks, followed by another knee drop to the leg. Riddle manages to land a knee strike, but Gunther responds with a German suplex. Gunther applies a heel hook, but Riddle kicks Gunther in the chest to break free. Riddle counters with an exploder suplex and follows it up with a back senton, but Gunther catches him and attempts to apply a rear naked choke. Riddle manages to block it, landing on his feet. However, Riddle's leg is visibly affected, and Gunther capitalizes with a clothesline. Riddle fights back with a kick, securing a near fall.



Riddle lands a running kick and climbs the turnbuckles, delivering a Floating Bro for another near fall. Riddle sets up for his finishing move, Bro Derek, but Gunther escapes and responds with a chop. Gunther ascends to the top rope for a frog splash, but Riddle traps him in a triangle submission. In a display of incredible strength, Gunther lifts Riddle and executes a one-armed powerbomb for a close near fall. Gunther transitions into a single leg crab, and although Riddle attempts to reach the ropes, Gunther pulls him back into the center of the ring. Riddle fights back with kicks, but Gunther targets the ankle, applying a heel hook. Riddle is ultimately forced to tap out, resulting in Gunther's victory.
