Chennai, October 7 - Director Lokesh Kangaraj has achieved big things in his young career in the direction and his next film with Thalapathy Vijay is easily the most hyped Kollywood movie. The Tamil audience loved their maiden collaboration, Master, and now, they are eagerly waiting for their next film.

The official announcement of Thalapathy 67 is yet to be made but the film is already making waves and shaking the Kollywood film industry with its rumored casting. It has been reported that Sanjay Dutt will be playing one of the main antagonists in the film while Trisha Krishnan will reportedly be seen as one of the female leads.



"Thalapathy 67" will be a Pan India gangster drama film that will be made on a huge budget and scale. It is said to be a part of Lokesh's cinematic universe (LCU) and will have a link to "Kaithi" and "Vikram". The movie will feature multiple stars across industries, and it is said that Prithviraj Sukumaran and Gautham Menon to play key roles other than the aforementioned actors.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has been in the media headline after his recent blockbuster "Vikram", which starred Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahad Fasil. Also, it had Surya as a surprise entry at the end of the movie and he will be featured in a full-fledged role in "Vikram 2".

Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for his Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie "Varisu" under the direction of Vamshi Paidipally. The emotional action drama film also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead along with Sarathkumar, and Prakash Raj, among others. Produced by Dil Raju, the movie is slated to release on January 12, 2023.
