While re-watching the July 4, 2005 episode of WWE Raw, Kurt Angle emphasized Cena's impressive ability to acclimate swiftly to the WWE environment. According to Angle, this adaptability was a key factor in Cena's remarkable success in the wrestling world. Angle further asserted that Cena's accomplishments and accolades have set him apart as one of the greatest WWE performers in history.

Moreover, Angle discussed the potential of Roman Reigns, another prominent WWE superstar, surpassing John Cena's records. With Reigns currently making waves in the wrestling industry, Angle sees the possibility of him achieving even greater heights than Cena, setting new milestones and cementing his own legacy.

"John Cena, he was maybe two or three years in the business by this time, and here he is on top. I mean, this kid picked it up very quickly, and he had arguably the best career in WWE history," said Angle. "He did win sixteen World Heavyweight Titles in WWE specifically. No one's ever done that."

"He's going to break the record. If he doesn't skip and go to Hollywood and become a movie star, which I think he's going to do," said Angle of Roman Reigns.

Kurt Angle Teases Possible Return to the Ring Against John Cena

Kurt Angle, the Olympic gold medalist and 14-time world champion, has not ruled out a return to the ring despite retiring in 2019. Angle, who turns 54 this year, had double knee replacement surgery in May. He told the Wrassingh Show that he is still not feeling 100%, but he is open to the idea of one more match.

"I don't have the itch to get back in the ring now," Angle said. "But you never know. You wait a couple years after knee replacement surgery, see how you feel, and if it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, that's okay."

If Angle does decide to return to the ring, he said he would like his last match to be against John Cena.

"John, I still think he's possibly still in his prime," Angle said. "I would definitely say John Cena. The reason for that is, I'm 53 years old, I'm not the same athlete I was when I was 33. When I decided to retire, it was because I lost a step and I didn't want the fans to remember me as the person who was in the ring when I returned to WWE. I wanted them to remember me as the person who was in his prime who was literally the best wrestler in the world. Knowing that John is still in his prime, I know he can carry me through a match."

Angle's retirement match at WrestleMania 35 was against Baron Corbin, and it was not well-received by fans. If Angle does return to the ring, he will be looking for a match that will be more fitting for his legacy.
