'Drishyam' To Be Remade In The Korean Language Under Indian and Korean Production

Cannes, May 21 - Panorama Studios in association with Korea's Anthology Studios announced the official remake of the blockbuster Drishyam franchise in the Korean language.

The official announcement of the "Drishyam" Korean remake was made today (21 May 2023) at India Pavilion, managed by FICCI, during the ongoing Cannes Film Festival. This would be the first-ever collaboration between an Indian and Korean production.



Panorama Studios, which has exclusive Hindi rights to the Hindi version of the blockbuster franchise, was founded by Kumar Mangat Pathak in 2012 while Anthology Studios is founded by former Warner Bros. local Korean production head Jay Choi, "Parasite" actor Song Kang Ho and acclaimed director Kim Jee Woon.

"Drishyam", fronted by Ajay Devgn, is one of the most loved film franchises in Hindi. It is itself the remake of the Malayalam franchise of the same name, fronted by Mohanlal. The two Hindi "Drishyam" movies released so far have grossed over 450 crores at the worldwide box office and the third installment is already reportedly in the works.
