Charlotte Flair Makes Her First Title Defense In An Impromptu Match On WWE SmackDown

Charlotte Flair defended her title for the first since winning the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship.

On the final SmackDown edition of SmackDown, Charlotte Flair made a stunning return from an injury that Rousey had caused and immediately challenged the champion to a title contest. When The Baddest Woman on the Planet went for an Armbar in the impromptu matchup, Flair quickly turned the tables and rolled up The Rowdy One to become a 14-time Women's Champion!



Fresh off winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship, Charlotte Flair appeared on the first SmackDown edition of 2023. She later accepted a challenge for the title from the deadly Sonya Deville.

The challenger proved a worthy competitor, but Flair’s championship mettle shined bright as The Queen hit a devastating Spear and locked in her signature Figure-Eight Leglock, which forced a very tough Deville to submit.
