Akshay Kumar: 'I Can’t Work In A Film That Requires More Than 100 Days Of Shoot'
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has said that he feels films should be completed in 45-50 days and not 100 days – taking a dig at actors who take nearly a year to shoot their films.
In a recent interview with Himesh Mankad of Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar stated that if a film is given 45 to 50 days to shoot, then the film budget would always be under control and strongly refused to work in a film that requires more than 100 days of the shoot.
“I always look for something unique in the story and look for opinions of friends who have read the script with me. The element of budget also comes into picture but at a later stage. One can’t give more than 45 to 50 days to a film and if you shoot a film in this time span, your budget will always be under control. I can’t work in a film that requires more than 100 days of shoot,” he said.
Akshay's trick to doing 3-4 films a year is that he does not sit at the editing table, nor does he involve himself in pre-production or post-production work.
Up Next - Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the role of an anti-hero in Sajid Nadiadwala production, Bachchan Pandey, directed by Farhad Samji. The film is gearing up for a Holi release. The film is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda which itself was inspired by the 2006 South Korean movie A Dirty Carnival.
Just to remind you all - Yash Raj Films' Prithviraj, and Aanand L. Rai's Atrangi Re along with Sara Ali Khan in dual roles opposite him and Dhanush, are releasing in 2022.
