Hyderabad, February 1 - Superstar Prabhas's sci-fi film, tentatively titled "Project K" with director Nag Ashwin is going the "Baahubali" way.
The highest-anticipated film has been in production for a long time now. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, the movie was supposed to release in 2022 but due to the delay in production, the maker postponed the release until officially announced.
"Project K" is set in a futuristic world with never before seen visuals around the possibility of a 3rd World War. It is kind of the film that hasn't been touched before in Indian cinema and thus, makers are taking extra care in the making and coming up with the rock-solid output.
According to Pinkvilla, it has now been revealed that "Project K" will be released in two parts, just like "Baahubali" which is one of the most loved Indian films of all time. The shoot for the first part of "Project K" is said to be wrapped up and filming for the second part is currently going on at a brisk pace.
"The vision and plot point of Project K is so big that the makers have decided to make it a 2-part film. While the first part will establish the world and conflict of this magnum opus, the entire drama will unfold in the second half, much like what happened in the Bahubali Franchise. Project K is envisioned as the biggest film of Indian Cinema with a conflict like never before", Pinkvilla reports quoting a source close to the development.
The first part of the film is expected to release in April 2024. It is already in the post-production stage with VFX artists working on the footage. The second part will also be completed before the release of the first part as makers are eyeing to release both parts in a short interval of less than a year.
The movie is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies and it is the biggest movie ever for the studio.
