Thalapathy 67: Director Lokesh Kanagaraj Gives An Update On Thalapathy Vijay-Starrer

Chennai, August 1 - Director Lokesh Kanagaraj will next be reuniting with Thalapathy Vijay after their 2021 blockbuster "Master". Lokesh is fresh from delivering the mega-blockbuster "Vikram", starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahad Faasil.

Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for his Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie "Varisu" under the direction of Vamshi. Meanwhile, director Lokesh said in a recent press interaction that he has started the pre-production and the script work is going on for the past 10 days on "Thalapathy 67".



There have been a lot of rumors about the leading lady of the film opposite Vijay. Lokesh said that the leading heroin is yet to be locked and he will be moving ahead with the casting process and other things hereon. The film will go on floors by the end of this year after Thalapathy gets done with the shoot of "Varisu".

"Thalapathy 67" is touted to be a big-scale action entertainer and said to be one of the costliest films ever in Vijay's career. "Varisu", meanwhile, will be released on Pongal 2023. It also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, and R. Sarathkumar, among others in prominent roles. Dil Raju has produced it under his banner Sri Venkateswara Creations.
