Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' Takes A Flying Start In The US In Advance Booking

Los Angeles, September 22 - Filmmaker Mani Ratnam's epic period action film Ponniyin Selvan: I has been creating huge excitement among the audiences as the release date is getting nearer. The star-studded film has been made on a huge scale, making it one of the costliest Tamil movies of all time.

"Ponniyin Selvan 1" is expected to take excellent openings at the box office, not just domestically but overseas as well. At the USA box office, the movie is already showing very increasing signs as it has crossed $835K in advance sales from 426 locations for the premiere shows.



Sarigama Cinemas is the US distributing partner of the movie and it is known to give the biggest possible release for Indian films. The movie is all set to score $1 million in advance sales for the premiere, due on September 29.

Produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, "PS1" will release on September 30 in Tamil along with dubbed versions of Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. It stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Sobhita Dhulipala, among others in prominent roles.
