After Thalapathy Vijay's 'Leo', Gokulam Movies Grabs Kerala Theatrical Rights of Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Jailer'

Kochi, June 8 - Sree Gokulam Movies has acquired theatrical rights to another Tamil biggie, superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer to distribute across the Kerala state.

One of the leading distribution studios in Kerala, Gokulam Movies recently grabbed Thalapathy Vijay's highly-awaited Pan India movie "Leo" at an all-time record price of 16 crores. Vijay has a huge following in Kerala which helped the makers to crack such a big deal.



Now, superstar Rajinikanth's action-comedy "Jailer" will also be released by the same studio, according to the Kerala trade source AB George. The studio has reportedly paid a good amount of 5.50 crores for the same as a minimum guarantee royalty.

"Jailer" is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures. The shoot was recently concluded for the movie that also stars Malayalam superstar Mohanlal along with Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, and Jackie Shroff, among others in key roles.

The film is scheduled to release on August 10, during Independence Day 2023 week.
