Mumbai, June 22 - The positive vibes return in the Bollywood camp, and this time, it's not about just one movie but an exciting lineup awaits to entertain the audiences. One of the most important films for the Hindi film industry is Akshay Kumar-fronted "Raksha Bandhan", which will open during Independence Day week.

"Raksha Bandhan" is particularly very important for Akshay Kumar who has had a dull year so far with two back-to-back box office failures in the form of "Bachchhan Paandey" and "Samrat Prithviraj". However, it looks like he will be back in his old form with Anand L Rai-directorial and there are many reasons to justify this.



The trailer of "Raksha Bandhan" was launched on July 21st and not so surprisingly, it turned out to be exactly what the industry needs at the moment. The trailer is a perfect mixture of comedy, humor, and drama which has worked at the box office more often than not.

The nearly 3 minutes long trailer falls in the same category which has given Akshay Kumar a lot of success over the last 5-6 years. Family drama film with the elements of comedy has always been Akshay's strength and he has once again shown his strength in the upcoming movie, going by trailer.

"Raksha Bandhan" has a simple story of a brother and his 4 sisters, played by Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, and Smrithi Srikanth. He is worried about their marriages and is willing to sell even his kidneys to make them settle in their lives. While performing his brotherly duties, he has his own love life for which he has to make a tough decision.



The movie also marks the pairing of Akshay and Bhumi Pandekar who is already tried and tested on-screen couple in the superhit "Toilet Ek Prem Katha". The upcoming movie promises to be another solid outing for them. Overall, the trailer of "Raksha Bandhan" has left a huge impact on the audience which will surely bring a positive outcome at the box office, hopefully.

The movie is produced by Akshay's Cape Of Good Films, and Rai's Colour Yellow Productions. The movie will be released in theaters on August 11.
