Pathaan Outscores RRR To Become The Second Biggest Indian Grosser In North America

Los Angeles, February 10 - Shah Rukh Khan-fronted blockbuster "Pathaan" has become the second highest-grossing Indian film in North America, which is one of the biggest international movie markets for Indian titles.
The spy action thriller, directed by Siddharth Anand, has grossed approx. $14.95 million (123 crores) in 16 days so far at the North American box office. It has outscored SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster "RRR" which has grossed $14.90 million and become the all-time second-biggest Indian and biggest Bollywood movie there.
Rajamouli's "Baahubali The Conclusion" is currently the number one Indian title in North America with approx. $22 million. "Pathaan" will most likely finish around $17 million though it has a chance to beat "Baahubali 2" in admissions.
Among the top 5 biggest Indian movies there, Aamir Khan's "Dangal" is at number 4 with approx. $12.40 million, followed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmaavat" at 5 with approx. $12.17 million.
Meanwhile, the Yash Raj Films' production is nearing 900 crores at the global box office. It has grossed approx. 888 crores worldwide in 16 days and will look to surpass the 900 crores mark in 17 days. At the domestic box office, "Pathaan" has grossed approx. 550 crores while the overseas collection is approx. 338 crores.
