'Hera Pheri' Producer Firoz Nadiadwala To Produce A Mega Budget 5D Film On Mahabharat?

Mumbai, September 13 - A couple of days ago, Disney Plus Hotstar announced the live-action series adaptation of epic Mahabhart and confirmed that it will be premiered in 2024. Now, according to the latest reports, producer Firoz Nadiadwala is also separately working on Mahabharta for feature film adaptation.
Mahabharta has always been in the media headlines as many filmmakers have tried to adapt it for the big screen, however, it could never get off the ground. According to Bollywood Hungama, producer Firoz Nadiadwala, who has produced films like Hera Pheri and Welcome, has finally decided to make a film on Mahabharta.
The report says that the producer has started work on Mahabharat and aims to make it the most visually stunning film ever in Indian cinema. The post-production will take a couple of years more and reportedly, it will go on floors by 2025. The report further said that the budget for the movie is expected to be more than Rs. 700 crores.
It is said that the "Mahabharta" movie will be the first Indian film to be shot in 5D! It's expected to be so novel and exciting that audiences would throng the cinema halls in hordes worldwide, and not just in India. Actors like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Paresh Rawal, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, etc. are being considered to feature in the film.
To date, only one film has been made on the epic Mahabharata in India, which was released 57 years ago in 1965. Interestingly, it was produced by Firoz Nadiadwala's father A.G. Nadiadwala, and now, after nearly 6 decades, his son attempting to revisit this epic.
