Kalki 2898 AD Beats Jawan's Peak Hourly Sold Ticket Count On Book My Show To Create New Record

Hyderabad, June 30 - A day after India's cricket World Cup glory, Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD is running riot and is potentially looking to score the second big day if not the biggest at the domestic box office in its short run so far. ## To understand the mass rampage Kalki 2898 AD is having today, it has crossed the peak hourly sold ticket count of superstar Shah Rukh Khan-fronted Jawan to create a new record on the ticketing platform, Book My Show. Last year, Jawan peaked with 86K tickets sold in a single hour on BMS, and now, Kalki has become the first movie to top 90K hourly peak count and is likely to top 100K during the day. ## Directed by Nag Ashwin, the sci-fi epic has already earned around 370 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office in the first three days, and it will surely top 500 crores at the end of its 4-day opening weekend to become only the 6th Indian movie to do in the first weekend. ## Earlier yesterday, sold 1.28 million tickets on BMS which is a record since the platform started reporting ticket count on its app, and it seems, Sunday will be even bigger. ## The movie is produced by C. Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Tops 300 Crore Worldwide After Huge First Saturday

Hyderabad, June 30 - Director Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD has topped 300 crores gross at the worldwide box office after the huge first Saturday despite the India and South Africa T20 World Cup final match which saw Men In Blue emerging winner in a thriller clash. ## The Prabhas-starrer movie, however, largely remained unaffected and grossed over 100 crores worldwide on its third day. On the ticketing platform Book My Show, Kalki sold 1.28 million tickets (12.80 lahks) on day 3, a jump of around 15% on the second-day ticket count of 1.12 million on the platform. ## The movie grossed an estimated 77+ crores in India on its third day, which pushed the domestic total to around 260 crores. Mumbai, June 28 - Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD heading for 90+ crores 4-day opening weekend in Hindi with an outside chance of touching 100 crores net after the perfect hold on its second day. The movie scored approximately 22.50 crores net its Thursday opening day. ## Kalki is witnessing a drop under 10% on its second day, Friday, for an estimated 21-22+ crores net which might be on the higher end, depending on hold in mass centres. Mumbai, June 28 - Pan India superstar Prabhas is set for another good ride at the Hindi box office after his sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD off to a superb start with approximately 22.50 crores net collection. The opening of the film is in the range of Hrithik Roshan's Fighter with a minor difference as the joint biggest of the year.## As has often been said in the last few years, Prabhas has emerged as the biggest superstar on the Pan India level and easily the biggest South India-origin star in the North. Despite his films not reaching the high end of the target, the actor has consistently delivered in Hindi, which the Bollywood stars have failed to do regularly. ## Since Baahubali (2015) which opened at 5.15 crores net in Hindi, Prabhas has done 6 movies, including Baahubali 2 and except for Radhe Shyam and Salaar, all the movies have taken an opening of 20+ crores net in the dubbed Hindi version. Box Office: 'Kalki 2898 AD' Scored Third Biggest Opening For Indian Film Worldwide

Hyderabad, June 28 - Director Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has had a sensational opening day at the domestic box office, clearing 100 crores gross mark and was equally strong overseas to put the movie among the top three biggest Indian openers of all-time. ## In India, the Prabhas-starrer blockbuster grossed approximately 114 crores in all versions. There were expectations of the movie scoring much more but the mass centres in Telugu states didn't show up as expected which kept the movie a little below the projected mark but big enough to set the tone for a massive opening weekend. ## In terms of language-wise gross collection, the original Telugu version scored approximately 78.50 crores, followed by the Hindi version with approximately 27 crores, and the rest of the languages grossed around 8.50 crores. Mumbai, June 27 - Kalki 2898 AD is off to a flying start a the Indian box office and is flirting with a potential 95 crores net collection in all languages. It has easily taken the biggest opening of the year and the biggest since KGF 2 by a long margin. ## Starring Prabhas in the lead role, the sci-fi epic is estimated to gross 65-70 crores in Telugu states, followed by 26-28 crores in North India. Radhe Shyam (2022) - After Saaho, the Covid-19 pandemic gripped the world starting in 2020 and the box office dipped to an all-time low not just in India but everywhere. Radhe Shyam was one of the Pan India movies to get released during the pandemic so there weren't many expectations from it at the box office as far as the Hindi version is concerned. It failed miserably by scoring just around 20 crores net in Hindi and was also a major disaster worldwide with just around 150 crores gross. ## 5. Adipurush (2023) - A film which could have challenged Baahubali 2's footfalls in Hindi, but failed miserably due to the poor attempt at the epic Ramayana. It was a box office failure with a worldwide collection of under 400 crores gross but managed to bring Prabhas back into 100 crores net club in Hindi, scoring approximately 148 crores net. ## 6. Salaar Part 1 (2023) - It was the first movie of Prabhas to emerge overall success since Baahubali 2 with a worldwide gross collection of over 600 crores. In Hindi, it crossed the 150 crores net mark and is currently Prabhas' second biggest grosser in the dubbed version with 153 crores net.## The next up for Prabhas is director Nag Ashwin's sci-fi epic mixed with mythology, Kalki 2898 AD which is scheduled to release on June 27. Jr. NTR's 'Devara: Part 1' Locks Theatrical Deals For Telugu States

Hyderabad, June 20 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's Devara: Part 1 has locked theatrical rights for Telugu states with still more than three months left for the release. Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara is one of the year's most anticipated Pan-Indian movies, and the trade is buzzing about its box office potential. ## It was reported that Sithara Entertainment offered a huge 120 crores to acquire theatrical rights for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. While the quoted price has yet to be confirmed by reliable sources, it has been learned that area-wise distributors have been locked. ## According to Aakashavaani, Dil Raju will distribute the movie in the Nizam area, while Poorvi Pictures gets Vizag, LVR Adithya Films locks for West and Vijyalakshmi Cinemas for East area. In Guntur, Radhakrishna Entertainments will release the movie. Bhaskar Reddy and Dheeraj Entertainments will release the movie in Nellore and Krishna, respectively. In Ceeded, multiple distributors will distribute the film. ## Earlier, Anil Thadani of AA Films along with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions jointly grabbed the theatrical rights of Devara for the North India region. Prabhas-Starrer 'Kalki 2898 AD' Completes Censorship

Hyderabad, June 19 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted Kalki 2898 AD has completed censorship formalities with just over a week left for the release. The highly-anticipated sci-fi epic is directed by Nag Ashwin and it also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan, among others. ## The censor screening of Kalki 2898 AD took place on June 18 and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the movie with a 'U/A' certificate and an approved runtime of 3 hours. ## The movie's 3D version was said to be shown in the CBFC screening and the reports say that the censor officials were left in awe by the film's groundbreaking visuals and Nag Ashwin's visionary direction.
