Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon Reunite For A Horror-Comedy Film, Bhediya

Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon are all set to reunite after the 2015 hit movie, Dilwale. The duo will be starring in Stree and Bala director Amar Kaushik's next directorial, titled Bhediya. It is a monster horror film which will be produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films. The JIO Studio presentation will release on 14 April 2022. ## Bhediya is a horror-comedy film by Maddock Films after Sharddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's "Stree" and upcoming Janhavi Kapoor and Rao's "Roohi". Varun's character in Bhediya resembles a monster. Varun Dhawan has started the shooting for the film in Arunachal Pradesh and will continue shooting till May. John Abraham's Attack and Mumbai Saga Set For Theatrical Release

When things finally start falling all over again in one place, the largest film industry in the country, Bollywood has decided to go back to its old traditional plans. After a flurry of release date announcement, what we are hearing is something that are really good signs for the exhibitors and theater owners. ## John Abraham has announced the release date of his big action entertainer, Attack, and booked Independence day weekend (August 13, 2021) for its release. While Attack was always going to release in theaters, Abraham's another biggie, Mumbai Saga is also having a theatrical release. ## Amid the rumors of direct to digital release, the makers of Mumbai Saga announced the theatrical release of the film. It will be hitting theaters on March 19 next month. Directed by Sanjay Gupta, the teaser of Mumbai Saga will be unveiled on February 24. It was also reported that Prime Video has paid a whopping amount of around INR 70 Crores to bad direct digital release. ## 'Mumbai Saga' was initially scheduled to release in June last year, but since the cinema halls were shut during the nationwide lockdown, it was postponed indefinitely before the talks of direct OTT release begin. The film also stars Emraan Hashmi, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, and others in key roles. John will be seen playing the role of Ganpat Ram Bhonsle in the film that is set in the '80s-'90s and chronicles how Bombay became Mumbai. Phones Are Never Going To Give Collective Experience Which Theater Provides: Filmmaker Nitya Mehra

Filmmaker Nitya Mehra made her debut as a director with the 2016 Bollywood feature film 'Baar Baar Dekho', starring Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif. Despite the decent buzz, the film fared below expectations at the box office. Mehra then focussed on the OTT space and struck gold with the popular show Made In Heaven. She also directed one of the stories of the anthology film Unpaused which premiered on Amazon Prime Video last year. ## Mehra, who hopes to return to the big screen next year, is unmoved by the rise of OTT platforms and said that digital platforms should be accepted as a natural progression. She also feels that theaters are not going anywhere as people need a collective experience which mobile phones can't provide .## "When television came, people on the radio were worried. As we evolve, there will always be new things that come out and they may give a run for the money as they say. OTT platforms have given theatres a run for the money but I think each one of these formats finds its own space. There are enough human beings on this planet to consume it all", Mehra tells according to TOI. ## "The audience is becoming accustomed to viewing things on their phones, tablets, and laptops, but I do feel that theatres will survive. Human beings by nature require a collective experience. However, the southern star is now no longer part of the project, and his Bollywood debut gets longer. ## It was reported that Aamir Khan offered Sethupathi an important role in his upcoming film after seeing his meritorious performances in his movies which have made a crazy fan following of him. However, the reports came as a shocker for his fans that he is not a part of Lal Singh Chaddha. It was reported that Aamir Khan had asked him to reduce weight according to the character's demand, and Vijay failed to do so, hence he was asked to back out from the movie. ## While the reason for Sethupathi backing out from the project wasn't made official until the actor himself cleared what exactly went behind the scene. The trailer of Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma's horror-comedy, Roohi was dropped on Tuesday (February). The 3-minute long trailer takes the viewers into the world of horror where things turned into a comedy. It gives viewers all sorts of spooky vibes and promises an out and out entertainment. ## Roohi is from the makers of the 2018's blockbuster, Stree that starred Shraddha Kapoor, and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. In Roohi, Janhvi Kapoor is controlled by a witch, who abducts brides during their honeymoon. Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma take up the responsibility to save the brides but get stuck in a forest with Roohi (Janhvi) who turns Rao's life upside down. ## The scary tuned laugh riot plot and performances by the three stars in the film will surely attract the audience to watch the film that is releasing in theaters on March 11. After the mega-success of the first two movies of the Tiger franchise, superstar Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will be returning as RAW and ISI agents respectively in Tiger 3 which is expected to go on floors next month in March.
