There was a chance of a 40cr first-weekend collection but the Sunday collections arrived lesser than the early estimates. On Sunday the film recorded 15.30 Cr collection which is an excellent Sunday for a film driven by a female star. No doubt Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a huge director but the industry is star-driven and cinema-going audiences are more fascinated by stars rather than directors or writers. Gabgubai Kathiawadi is recording phenomenal collections in Mumbai, Pune, Thane, and Gujarat which were expected as the film caters more to all these regions. But now even Delhi City and some stations of the south are doing very well which is a sign of a positive word of mouth film. Gangubai Kathiwadi should hold well on Monday and then it must show growth on Tuesday which is a holiday. If the film can do that then there is a chance of a HIT film. Mumbai, Feb 27, 2022: After an impressive first-day collection that surprised everyone, Gangubai witnessed a big growth on its second day. The second-day collections of Gangubai Kathiawadi showed a jump of 26.86% and collected 13.32 Cr which is an excellent second-day figure for a film driven by a female star. More than the number, it is the growth in the circuits which did not start well on the first day, is the biggest plus of day two for Gangubai Kathiawdi. Some mass pockets are recording excellent numbers that were not expected for a film like Gangubai as it does not cater to that audience. Supreme Court Suggests Makers Of 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' To Change Name Of The Movie

Mumbai, February 23 - The makers of the upcoming Bollywood movie, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" have been suggested to change the title of the film by the Supreme Court of India. Scheduled to release on February 25th, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" stars Alia Bhatt in the title role. ## According to TOI, the apex court made the suggestion in the wake of the several pending cases before the court seeking a halt to the release of the film, based on various factors. The report states that Bhansali's lawyer has said he will seek instructions from the filmmaker before the court continues the hearing tomorrow, February 24.## Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" is loosely based on the true story of Gangubai Harjivandas, popularly known as Gangubai Kothewali, whose life was documented in the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai written by S. Hussain Zaidi.## Seeking the ban on the film, several cases have been filed in various courts. Babu Ravji Shah also filed a case against the filmmaker, alleging that the film is defamatory towards his mother. Mumbai, February 21 - The fans of Shah Rukh Khan have eagerly been waiting for his big-screen comeback for a long time now. He was last seen in Anand L Rai's 2018 film "Zero", which was a box office failure. The superstar took some time off before rolling out his comeback movie, which is Yash Raj Films' "Pathan". ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathan" has been in the news since late 2020.
