Aamir Khan Hints About His Next Film After 'Laal Singh Chaddha'

Mumbai, March 15 - Bollywood superstar, Aamir Khan, celebrated his 57th birthday interacting with media on Monday (March 14). The actor, who is almost done with his upcoming movie "Laal Singh Chaddha" which is slated to release on August 11 this year, took some interesting questions regarding his family and his upcoming projects. ## While the superstar answered all the questions politely, there is one thing everyone is eager to know and that is his next film after LSC. It is to be known that Aamir has reportedly been in talks for multiple films, and one of them is the Hindi adaption of the Spanish film "Campeones". ## Last year, Pinkvilla had broked the news that Aamir Khan was in talks with Shubh Mangal Saavdhan director, RS Prasanna for an inspirational slice of life sports film, which would be produced by Sony Pictures India. Now, Aamir Khan has himself confirmed that he is indeed in talks for the film. ## The Hindi adaption of Campeones ("Champions"), would have been on the floors by now had there been no pandemic. "Everyone in filmmaking had to pause during a pandemic and hold their emotions. That was difficult", Aamir said and added that the "planning is on" for Campeones remake. ## The original movie revolves around the journey of an arrogant drunkard coach, who trains a team of intellectually disabled people. The team eventually go on to win multiple championships across the globe. "It falls right in the alley of Aamir Khan with humor, emotion, inspiration, and drama. In fact, these are the factors that have drawn the actor closer to this hidden Spanish gem, and he has been positive on coming on board the film in all the discussions gone by so far", Pinkvilla had reported. ## Meanwhile, Aamir's "Laal Singh Chaddha" has been in production for a long time now. The movie was originally announced for December 2020 release before it was pushed to Chrismas 2021 due to the pandemic. It was again postponed due to the delay in post-production work to February and then April and now, it is finalized for August release. The Kashmir Files Takes Bigger Start Than Prabhas-Fronted Radhe Shyam In Hindi Multiplexes

Mumbai, March 11 - Prabhas' long-awaited period romantic drama film "Radhe Shyam" has bombed at the Hindi box office. Despite the anticipation, the movie couldn't meet expectations and opened to nearly Rs. 2.10 crores on Friday from multiplexes. By adding single screens data, it earned around 4.50 Cr Hindi net. ## On the other hand, National award-winning filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's "The Kashmir Files" surprises at the box office. As per the early estimates, the film, based on true events, opens to Rs. 2.40 crores net from the multiplexes (including single screen, it earned around 3.30 Cr), despite the far fewer screens as compared to "Radhe Shyam". ## "The Kashmir Files", which tells the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the early 1990s due to the Kashmir Insurgency, got a big boost towards evening and night shows from the strong word of mouth. The film has managed to touch the hearts of the audiences, and it is sure to grow further over the weekend. ## In the comparison between "Radhe Shyam" and "The Kashmir Files", the Radha Krishna Kumar-directed had 428 shows in Mumbai for the Hindi version, wherein "The Kashmir Files" had only 153 shows on the first day. There is a massive gap in the budget of two films as well. "Radhe Shyam" is made in nearly Rs. 300 crores cost while TKF cost just Rs. 20-25 crores. ## "Radhe Shyam", meanwhile, has managed to score big in the Telugu version, which can be seen as a cakewalk for Prabhas. Mumbai, March 11 - Amitabh Bachchan's biographical-sports drama film, "Jhund", has had a decent opening week at the box office. The film, based on the life of Vijay Barse, the founder of NGO Slum Soccer, has netted approx. Rs. 10.50 crores in the first week in India. The film struggled to take a big jump throughout the week, and end up with a decent total on board. Over the opening weekend (Fri-Sun), "Jhund" scored a decent Rs. 6.50 crores.
