Chennai, June 22, 2021: Kangana Ranaut starrer upcoming biopic drama film, Thalaivi, has been censored with a clean 'U' certificate for the Tamil version. The makers will soon apply for Hindi and Telugu versions also.
"Thalaivi" is based on the life of late actor-politician Jayalalitha, who served six times as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Kangana playing the role of Jayalalitha in the film.
It is directed by A. L. Vijay and produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Shailesh R Singh, and Brinda Prasad under the banners of Vibri Motion Pictures, and Karma Media And Entertainment. Thalaivi.
The movie was all set to release on April 23 this year in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages, however, the covid-19 pandemic forced the makers to postpone it. Now, according to reports, makers will be releasing Thalaivi in theaters in the month of August this year.
Apart from Kangana Ranaut, the movie also stars Arvind Swamy as MGR, along with Nassar, Bhagyashree, Samuthirakani, among others in prominant roles.
