The Sam Raimi-directed movie is creating a lot of buzz around it. Meanwhile, during Marvel Studios' panel at CinemaCon 2022, attendees were treated to the first fifteen minutes of the movie, which left the viewers super impressed.
Disney theatrical distribution boss, Tony Chambers also announced that "Doctor Strange 2" has already collected $42 million in advance ticket sales in North America and it is expected to go past $50 million. This is the best response since "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in December last year.
The movie is set a few months after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021). In the movie, Dr. Stephen Strange, with the help of both old and new mystical allies, travels into the multiverse to face a mysterious new adversary.
It stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange, alongside Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams in key roles. In India, the movie will be released on May 6 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
