The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed biographical drama film has completed 17 days at the box office, grossing approx. Rs. 184 crores worldwide, including Rs. 139 crores in India (Rs. 118 crores net.)
At the domestic box office, "Gangubai Kathiawadi" scored an estimated Rs. 5.50 crores net on the 3rd Sunday for Rs. 12.56 crores 3rd-weekend collection, dropping just 46% from the second weekend.
As compared to the biggest Bollywood grosser post covid-19 pandemic, "Sooryavanshi", the Alia Bhatt-starrer has scored a little more in the 3rd weekend. The Akshay Kumar-led movie had done the net business of Rs. 12.36 crores in its 3rd weekend.
Overseas, Gangubai is super strong with approx. Rs. 45 crores gross after the 3rd weekend. It is the 3rd biggest Bollywood grosser post-covid-19 in the international market, after "83" (Rs. 64 cr.), and "Sooryavanshi" (Rs. 62.2 cr.).
"Gangubai Kathiawadi" is very much on course to enter Rs. 200 crores worldwide. It will become only the second Bollywood movie to achieve the feat since the covid-19 outbreak.
