Sunny Deol Confirms On Board Nitesh Tiwari's 'Ramayana'; Hypes The Vision of The Makers
Mumbai, December 10 - Director Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is the biggest Indian movie in the making. The 2-part epic has officially been confirmed to be headlined by Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi and Goddess Sita and Yash as Lankesh.
Bollywood star Sunny Deol, who had long been rumoured to be part of this epic as Lord Hanuman, has officially confirmed himself on board. At the third edition of SCREEN Live in Mumbai, Sunny revealed he is part of the project and shared some insights into it.
The Gadar 2 star lauded and hyped the vision of the makers of Ramayana which he believes is going to be a great film. "Ramayana is a long project because they're trying to make it the way Avatar and Planet of the Apes movies were made. The writer and director are very clear about the way it has to be and how the characters should be presented", Sunny said, per Indian Express.
The visual effects of Ramayana are being done by, who is also one of the producers with Yash, Namit Malhotra's Oscar-winning studio DNEG, and according to Sunny, the CGI will give the impression of complete genuinelity.
"You will also get to see the special effects that will make you believe that it (the events unfolding) has very genuinely happened rather than making one feel that these are special effects. To be honest, I'm very sure it’s going to be great and I’m sure that everybody will love it", the actor added.
Ramayana Part 1 will release on Diwali 2026 while part 2 will hit the screens on Diwali 2027.
