Shah Rukh Khan Under His Son's Direction? Aryan Khan's Next Directorials Spark Curiosity

Mumbai, November 6 - Aaryan Khan, son of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, made his roaring directorial debut with Netflix's The Ba*ds of Bollywood, which was recently released. The young filmmaker won praise for his direction, and now, people want to see what is next for him.

According to the report by Pinkvilla, Aaryan is gearing up for his big-screen directorial debut with his next film. The filmmaker is said to be developing a full-fledged entertainer, which is expected to go on floors in 2026.

While the cast is not locked yet, the report says that it will not feature Shah Rukh Khan, but if all goes well, the duo can unite for Aaryan's third directorial. "Aryan wants to deliver a theatrical success and prove himself as a filmmaker before taking on the challenge of directing his superstar father, Shah Rukh Khan", says the report.

Aaryan plans to direct SRK in his third movie, as his idea is to earn that opportunity through merit and let his work speak for itself. The father-son duo has reportedly already locked the core idea for their collaboration, but it is expected to take shape only in 2027.

As of now, Aaryan is aiming to team with SRK for his third directorial, but plans change, the duo might fast-track their project, making it Aryan's second film instead. While they are certain to collaborate in the future, if things materialise early, it will be a cinematic moment that fans across the world are eagerly waiting for.

SRK, meanwhile, is currently shooting for action thriller King, directed by Siddharth Anand. In this movie, the superstar's daughter, Suhana Khan, is making her big-screen debut as the film is gearing up for a late 2026 release. King Khan also has Yash Raj Films' Pathaan 2 in the pipeline.
