Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love and War' Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, Postponed To March 2026

Mumbai, September 13 - Maverick filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's war romance drama Love and War has been postponed to March 2026. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal in the leading roles.

Love and War was originally announced for the Christmas 2025 release but due to reasons unknown, it has been pushed back to March 20, 2026, coinciding with the festive season of Eid, Ram Navami and Gudi Padwa. The shoot will commence in October this year.



The film was announced in January this year and it created a stir with its casting of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. It is said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali will begin Love & War by shooting for some sole sequences featuring Ranbir Kapoor and then move on to the friendship portions of RK and Vicky Kaushal.

Alia Bhatt, who is reportedly playing the role of a jazz singer in the film, will join husband RK and Vicky Kaushal in December/Early January. Vicky and Alia will non-stop shoot for the movie as the duo has reportedly allotted 200 days for the same. It is said that they will indulge in romantic sequences, followed by conflict scenes with Ranbir Kapoor who has solo action scenes along with friendship sequences with Vicky and romance and drama scenes with Alia.

Love and War might clash with Shah Rukh Khan-fronted King which is also reportedly eyeing Eid 2026 release. However, the official confirmation regarding King hasn't been made yet.
