Prabhas' 'Kalki 2898 AD' Pre-Sales Crosses $2 Million For North America Premieres

Los Angeles, June 21 - The sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD is heading for a massive start at the North American box office as the countdown begins for the release. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie releases on June 27 with premieres scheduled for a day prior.

The Prabhas-fronted epic is looking to take the biggest opening for an Indian movie in North America after the pre-sales of the film crossed $2 million from over 3600 shows for the premiere with 5 days still left for the first show to start.



According to Gulte.com, Kalki 2898 AD has sold over 69.6K tickets for $2.06 million (17.20 crores) for the North American premiere. This includes $1.88 million in the USA and $180.7K in Canada. It has crossed the final pre-sales of Prabhas' Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire and is on course to an all-time top 2 premiere day. The overall pre-sales of the movie is nearing $2.5 million (20.90 crores) for all days.

Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the movie stars Prabhas in the lead role alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. Kalki 2898 AD is scheduled to release on June 27, 2024, in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil, in multiple formats including IMAX.
