Pawan Kalyan's 'Gabbar Singh' Set For Record Re-Release Opening For An Indian Movie

Hyderabad, September 2 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan's blockbuster film Gabbar Singh is all set to create a record for a re-release movie at the box office. The movie was released on the occasion of the PK's birthday today.

Directed by Harish Shankar, the action drama film has had a sensational pre-booking at the worldwide box office. In India, the booking for the movie was over 4 crores for the opening day+premiere shows while worldwide sales were over 5 crores gross.



The movie had pre-shows on the evening of PK's birthday on September 1 on which it grossed a fantastic approximately 65 lakh. Day one of the movie started on a sensational note and the advance for the remaining shows is out of the world at the domestic box office.

Gabbar Singh will easily score the biggest opening for an Indian re-release title and is looking to score 6-7 crores gross on opening day. It is performing to the level of a tier-2 Telugu hero's original release and may beat some of the recent Telugu films featuring a credible star.

Produced by Bandla Ganesh under the banner of Parameswara Art Productions, the film stars Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan in the leading roles alongside Abhimanyu Singh, Ajay, Suhasini Maniratnam, Nagineedu, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rao Ramesh, and Brahmanandam in key roles.
