Box Office: 'Sanam Teri Kasam' Beats 'Tumbbad' To Become The Highest-Grossing Re-Release Film In India

Mumbai, February 22 - The romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, has emerged as the highest-grossing re-release film at the Indian box office, beating horror fantasy thriller Tumbbad.

The film, which originally hit theatres in 2016, has struck a chord with audiences once again, raking in an impressive 32+ crores net collection in its re-release run, including collections up to its third Saturday (16 days). It has eclipsed last year's re-release sensation Tumbbad, which minted 32 crores net over its entire re-release run.



Directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the poignant love story has proven its timeless appeal, outperforming expectations and setting a new benchmark for re-released films in India. The success of Sanam Teri Kasam highlights a growing trend of nostalgia-driven classics, as audiences flock to theaters to relive cinematic gems.
