A Sequel To Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani's 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo' In The Works

Mumbai, June 6 - A sequel to Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani's family comedy-drama JugJugg Jeeyo is reportedly in the early development at Dharma Productions with Raj Mehta is expected to return as the director.

According to a report by Peepingmoon.com, after teasing a sequel for a long time, Karan Johar and Raj Mehta are officially working on JugJugg Jeeyo, however, the report suggests the makers may change the title and it is more likely to be a spiritual sequel.



It is said that Raj Mehta has begun writing the sequel with his team of writers and is looking to take it in on floors by the end of this year or early 2025. No cast has been attached to the sequel yet, but Varun is expected to return to headline it.

Released in June 2022, Jug Jug Jeeyo starred Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Neetu Kapoor as two couples of different generations on the verge of divorce. It was a box office success with the worldwide collection of around 140 crores gross.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is currently awaiting the release of the action thriller, Baby John and at the same time, filming for Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari under Dharma Productions. He also has a film with his director father David Dhawan and the sequel to No Entry.
