Talking about this, former Indian team coach Ravi Shastri said that Virat Kohli's 50 in the very first match of the Asia Cup will shut everyone's mouth. One innings is enough for him to get back in form.

In an interview with Star Sports, Ravi Shastri replied about Virat Kohli's place in the T20 team that there is no fitter cricketer than him, he is a machine. And if he recovers his mind, then one innings is enough for him to get back in form.

On the question of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma batting aggressively in the Asia Cup, Ravi Shastri said, "Why not? They are very experienced players, they have played enough IPL and T20s and it should not be tough for them to adjust. With Rishabh, Hardik, Jadeja there is enough depth in the middle and lower order to get the innings back on track if the top order falls cheaply".
