68th National Film Awards: Full List of Winners

New Delhi, July 22 - The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, has announced the winners of the 68th National Film Awards on Friday (July 22) in New Delhi. This year's National Award ceremony honored films from 2020, across several categories.

Tamil superstar Suriya's critically hailed biographical drama film "Soorarai Pottru" won 5 National Awards, including Best Actor and Actress for Suriya and Aparna Balamurali and Best Feature Film. Ajay Devgn's mega-blockbuster "Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior" won National Award for Providing Wholesome Entertainment while Ajay was also honored with the Best Actor award.



Earlier today, a 10-member jury led by filmmaker Vipul Shah met Information and Broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur and submitted its report on the 68th National Film Awards for the year 2020.

Best Screenplay - Soorarai Pottru

Best Screenplay (Dialogue Writer) - Madonne Ashwin (Mandela)

Best Female Playback Singer - Nanchamma (Ayyappanum Koshiyam)

Best Lyrics - Saina, Manoj Muntashir

Best Audiography (Location Sound Recordist) - Jobin Jayan (Dollu)

Best Audiography (Sound Designer) - Anmol Bhave (Mi Vasantrao)

Best Audiography (Re-recordist of the final mixed track) - Vishnu Govind and Sree Sankar (Malik)

Best Music Direction - Thaman S (Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo)

Best Music Direction (Background Music) - GV Prakash (Soorarai Pottru)

Best Male Playback Singer - Rahul Deshpande (Mi Vasantrao)

Best Cinematography - Supratim Bhol for Avijatrik

Best Costume Design - Nachiket Barve and Mahesh Sherla (Tanhaji)

Best Production Design - Anees Nadodi (Kappela)

Best Choreography - Sandhya Raju (Natyam)

Best Editing - Sreekar Prasad (Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum)

Best Make-up - TV Rambabu (Natyam)

Best Stunt Choreography - Rajasekhar (Mafia Sasi) and Supreme Sunder (Ayyappanum Koshiyum)

Special Mention - Aimee Baruah for Semkhor, Vaanku, June, Kishore Kadam for Avwanchhit & Godakaath, and Varun Buddhadev for Toolsidas Junior

Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director - Mandela

Best Hindi Film - Toolsidas Junior

Best Kannada Film - Dollu
