Hyderabad, June 25, 2021: On May 29, the young and talented director Prasanth Varma had announced Tollywood's first-ever original superhero movie
, Hanu-Man, on his birthday. The Zombie Reddy had made the announcement and promised to take the Telugu audience into a new cinematic universe with his favorite, superhero genre.
And now, today on June 25, the movie has been officially launched in Hyderabad with the pooja ceremony. Teja Sajja, who played the lead role in Prasanth Varma's previous directorial, Zombie Reddy, has been cast to play the lead in Hanu-Man as well.
The fourth directorial film of Varma will be produced by K Niranjan Reddy under his banner Prime Show Entertainment. The shooting of Hanu-Man will kick-start next month in Hyderabad. It is written by Varma, which is said to be inspired by mythology.
Meanwhile, Prasanth Varma will also be directing the Telugu comedy-drama film, That Is Mahalakshmi, which is a remake of the 2014 Hindi film Queen starring Kangana Ranaut. The Telugu remake will feature Tamannaah Bhatia in the title role while Shibani Dandekar, Roopa Lakshmi, Samarth Ashok Hegde, Geetanjali, and CVL Narasimha Rao in supporting roles.
On the other hand, Teja Sajja will next be seen in the Telugu romantic thriller film, Ishq, co-starring Priya Prakash Varrier as the female lead. This film is the remake of a 2019 Malayalam film of the same name.
