Samantha Ruth Prabhu Signs Two Tamil-Telugu Bilingual Films

Hyderabad, October 17 - The last couple of weeks have been quite challenging for actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who recently announced her separation from Naga Chaitanya and also dealing with social media trolling. However, as they say, the show must go on, the actress has activated her work mode on and signed two Tamil-Telugu bilingual films.
The announcements of the two films she has signed were made on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra (October 15). Out of the two films, one is with debutant Shantaruban Gnanasekharan. The movie, which is touted to be a breezy and different type of love story, will be backed by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures.
The second film is said to be a content-driven one, which will be directed by Hari Shankar and Hareesh Narayan and produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad. The movie is slated to go on floors in November next month while the rest of the cast and crew are being finalized.
Talking about the film, producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad said that it is a unique story penned by Hari Shankar and Hareesh Narayan, who will also be co-directing the film. The producer further said that it was a collective decision of the creative team to bring Samantha on board to play the lead role as they believe that she will do justice to the character she has been offered.
Meanwhile, The 34-year old actress was last seen in the romantic drama film "Jaanu" (2020), which is the remake of the Tamil film "96". She recently completed the shoot of the mythological drama film "Shaakuntalam". Sam also "Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal" with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara as two other lead characters.
