Tocky, February 4 - SS Rajamouli's "RRR" has turned beast at the Japan box office over the last few weeks. The movie is showing no sign of fatigue at all and is breaking records with each passing day and week.
Starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, "RRR" has completed 15 weeks at the Japan box office, grossing ¥825 million or approx. 51.70 crores. Interestingly, the 15th week was the biggest so far for "RRR" with a massive approx. ¥121 million.
The makers have officially announced that a total of 514K people have already watched the movie until 2nd February, which is already the highest number of admissions for an Indian movie there. The 105th day of "RRR" was bigger than the opening day in the country, as per the makers.
The last weeks have contributed approx. 303 million yen, and considering this unreal jump in the collection, "RRR" is now certain to breach ¥1 billion mark in Japan, setting a very rare record for an Indian title.
Produced by DVV Entertainment, "RRR" is the longest-running Indian film in Japan and the awards buzz is keeping it afloat which is ultimately helping it to reach new box office milestones. The worldwide collection of the movie is now reached 1165 crores.
