Hyderabad, June 27 - Megastar Chiranjeevi has been doing some mega films with top Tollywood directors, and now, he has confirmed one more film with a comparatively young director Maruthi.
Maruthi has confirmed in November last year that he narrated a storyline to Megastar Chiranjeevi and that the stalwart actor was quite impressed with it and asked him to come back with the full-fledged script. Maruthi went on to say that the film is going to be a hilarious entertainer and will showcase Chiranjeevi's comic timing.
Even though director Maruthi confirmed the movie back then, there had been no development until yesterday (June 26) when Chiranjeevi himself confirmed the movie. The megastar graced the grand pre-release event of Gopichand and Raashii Khanna's "Pakka Commercial", which happened in Hyderabad last night.
During the event, the superstar said that Vicky of UV Creations approached him and wanted him to do a movie with Maruthi. He further asked Maruthi to finish all the committed projects and work on the script of the film. The movie might start rolling out later this year after Chiranjeevi finishes his current projects.
Chiranjeevi, meanwhile, will next be seen in "Godfather", which is the official remake of the Malayalam movie "Lucifer". It also stars Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in an extended cameo in his Telugu debut. Chiranjeevi also has "Bholaa Shankar", and "Mega 154" in the pipeline.
