Hyderabad, August 24 - The booming Telugu box office is set to get a further boost with the much-anticipated release of heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda's Liger
, scheduled to hit worldwide theaters on August 25. The re-release buzz around the movie suggests that it has the potential to lead Deverakonda into the elite league of Telugu stars.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, "Liger" is almost certain to take the biggest opening of Vijay Deverakonda's career, and how much it will be big, will be known by tomorrow. The advance booking trend of the film in Telugu is excellent with close to 7.50 crores gross already for the first day with an overall advance booking is approx. 8 crores for all languages.
"Liger" is on course to become the biggest Telugu opener for a Tier-2 hero. Vijay Deverakonda's growth as an actor has been tremendous over the year and "Liger" is the film that could give him the edge over his contemporaries as far as the box office pull is concerned.

Going by the trend, the film is all set to score 18-19 crores share the collection, including 12-13 crores in Telugu states. The other versions including Hindi are having a slow response but could grow exponentially over the weekend if the talk is positive.
The sports action drama film stars Vijay Deverakonda as the titular MMA fighter boxer alongside Ananya Panday, Ramya Krishna, Ronit Roy, and Vishu Reddy in pivotal roles. American boxer Mike Tyson plays an extended cameo, thus making his acting debut in Indian cinema.
