Box Office: Sita Ramam Nears $1M In The USA; Karthikeya 2 Off To Excellent Start

Los Angeles, August 13 - Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer period love story film, Sita Ramam is going great guns at the USA box office and is set to cross the $1 million mark in a day or two.

The Hanu Raghavapudi-directed film has scored $902K till Friday (August 12), including approx $49.5K on Friday itself. It will surpass the $1 million mark by Sunday. This is a big achievement for the movie as most recent films have failed to reach even half a million in America.



Meanwhile, the new Telugu movie, Karthikeya 2, has taken an excellent start in the USA and scored $96.3K on Friday, including premiere shows. The word of mouth is positive for this Nikhil Siddharth-starrer supernatural adventure thriller, which should help it grow over the weekend.

Overall, Sita Ramam has crossed 40 crores gross at the worldwide box office. It has already recovered its total investment and is heading towards becoming a blockbuster. Karthikeya 2, on the other hand, opened to packed theaters upon its release on August 13. With positive WOM, the movie is expected to extend winning streak for Tollywood.
