Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde starrer
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo has completed one year from its release today (January 12). Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, this action-family-drama emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in the Tollywood industry and shattered the many box office records.
Now, as the movie turns one, Telugu star Allu Arjun on Tuesday celebrated the success of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. He had a reunion with the film's team, including the leading actress of the movie, Pooja Hegde, and director Trivikram Srinivas.
Sharing a pic of the reunion, Allu Arjun posted on Instagram, "One year ReUnion of AVPL. Thank you all for this unforgettable and a memorable film. Thank you all. Gratitude forever".
Pooja Hegde also shared pictures from their reunion and wrote in the caption, "We just HAD to celebrate the 1st birthday of this one! #massive #alavaikunthapurramuloo #1yearofAVPL @alluarjun #Trivikram @iamSushanthA".
The film, co-starring Tabu, and Jayaram revolves around Bantu (essayed by Arjun), who grows up being constantly subjected to his father's scorn until he learns of his real parentage. He decides to carve a place for himself within the family he truly belongs to.
Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo got a massive response from the audience at the box office. Made in a budget of over Rs. 100 crores, it grossed INR 269.35 crores worldwide. It also became only the third Telugu movie after Baahubali Part 1 & 2 to reach INR 200 crores mark in India as it collected INR 200.98 crores net in India.
Along with the film, its soundtrack was also a big hit, with songs such as "Butta bomma" and "Samajavaragamana" becoming chartbusters.
