Bengaluru, June 27 - Rakshit Shetty's adventure comedy-drama film,
777 Charlie has continued its dream run and scored yet another excellent weekend at the domestic box office.
Directed by Kiranraj K, "777 Charlie" became the highest-grossing film of Rakshit Shetty's career by topping "Avane Srimannarayana" (ASN). It had grossed 76 crores through the second Tuesday at the worldwide box office. This was enough for it to outshine "Avane Srimannarayana (ASN)" to become the biggest movie of Shetty's career.
Produced by Rakshit Shetty, and G. S. Gupta, the movie scored another 8.55 crores net in its 3rd weekend, which takes the total net collection to 73.05 crores, including 59.13 crores in the original Kannada languages. At the overseas box office, it has minted approx. 5.50 crores gross so far, pushing worldwide gross to 89.50 crores in 17 days.
"777 Charlie" will become the first 100 crores worldwide grosser for Rakshit Shetty. It is expected to reach the milestone during its 4th weekend and will become only the second Kannada movie of the year to do so.
The film follows the journey and bonding between a lonely factory worker and a Labrador Retriever. Dharma (Rakshit) is a loner, who doesn't socialize with people, and spends his time working in a factory. Charlie, a small Labrador dog makes a complete changeover in Dharma's life. In the companionship of the little Charlie, Dharma finds his purpose in life and develops himself into a better human.
