Mumbai, April 16 - KGF Chapter 2 is here to rewrite the box office history of the Indian cinema. The euphoria is real, and it is turning into never seen before blockbuster box office numbers, especially in Hindi. After an unprecedented opening day, the Yash-fronted movie continued its juggernaut on the second day as well and create new box office records.

Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF: Chapter 2 has become the highest-grossing Kannada movie of all time, and it took just two days to reach score this massive achievement. The previous record belonged to KGF Chapter 1, which was created in 2018 with 238 crores worldwide gross. The massive success of Chapter 1 created an unbeatable hype for its successor and the results are there for everyone to see.



Here are some of the major box office records broken by KGF 2 on the second day -

HIGHEST-GROSSING KANNADA MOVIE

In the first two days, KGF 2 has scored over 270 crores gross at the worldwide box office. It is eyeing 500+ crores gross in the 4-day opening weekend itself. KGF 2 might become the first-ever Kannada movie to cross 1000 crores worldwide.



FASTEST TO REACH 100 CRORES NET IN HINDI

In one of the rarest developments, KGF Chapter 2 has become the fastest ever to reach 100 crores net in Hindi. The dubbed version has scored 100.76 crores in two days. The previous record of the fastest to reach 100 crores net in Hindi was 3 days which was achieved by 13 movies.

It has become the fastest to reach 100 crores net in any language for the dubbed version. The previous record belonged to Baahubali 2 The Conclusion which scored 100 crore net in 3 days in the Hindi dubbed version.

ONLY FILM TO SCORE TWO BACK-TO-BACK 45+ CRORES NET DAYS IN HINDI

KGF 2 has also become the first-ever and only film in Hindi to score two back-to-back 45+ crores net days. In the past, only six 45+ crores net collection in a single day was achieved and now, KGF 2 has added one more to the list. Out of seven 45+ crores single days in Hindi, two belong to KGF Chapter 2.

SECOND FASTEST INDIAN MOVIE TO REACH 200 CRORES WORLDWIDE GROSS

KGF Chapter 2 has crossed the 200 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office. It has achieved this feat in just two days and becomes the 2nd fastest to get there. RRR and Baahubali 2 crossed the 200 crores worldwide gross mark on the opening day itself.

SECOND HIGHEST 2ND DAY AT THE DOMESTIC BOX OFFICE

On its second day, KGF Chapter 2 scored 105.50 crores gross at the domestic box office. This is 2nd biggest second day in India, after Baahubali 2 The Conclusion, which had grossed 110 crores in 2017. The recently released RRR is at number 3 with 104 crores gross on the second day.
