Mumbai, April 18 - Director Prashanth Neel's KGF Chapter 2 has had a record-breaking first weekend at the domestic box office, thanks to the exceptional contribution from the dubbed Hindi version. The Yash-fronted movie was always expected to score big and it has delivered big time.

The sequel to Kannada's highest-grossing film of all time, KGF Chapter 1 (2018), hit the ball out of the part in the first four days and scored approx. 542 crores gross at the worldwide box office from 19 territories. Produced by Hombale Films, KGF Chapter 2 was the number 2 movie at the worldwide box office during its opening weekend, after Warner Bros' "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore".

Highest-Grossing Indian Movie At The Domestic Box Office In Post-Pandemic Time (first 4 days)

KGF Chapter 2 has scored approx. 445 crores gross in the first 4 days at the domestic box office, which is the highest during the covid-19 pandemic. SS Rajamouli's RRR is number 2 with 441 crores.



Highest 4 Days Net Cume In Hindi Of All Time

The Hindi version of KGF 2 is performing exceptionally well and scored 193.99 crores net in the first 4 days. This is the highest ever 4-days net cume in Hindi, Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 The Conclusion is at number 2 with 168.25 crores in 2017.

First Film Ever To Score Two 50+ Crores Net In Hindi



In a historic achievement, KGF 2 has become the first film ever to score two 50+ crores net in Hindi. It had minted 53.95 crores on the first day and 50.35 crores on its 4th day. Apart from KGF 2, only two movies scored 50+ crores net in the past - War (51.60 Cr.) and Thugs Of Hindostan (50.75 Cr).

Highest-Grossing Kannada Movie Of All Time

As mentioned in previous articles, KGF Chapter 2 has become the highest-grossing Kannada movie of all time. It surpassed its predecessor, which had grossed 238 crores worldwide, in only two days.

Second Highest-Grossing Movie Worldwide During The Weekend (April 14 - April 17)

KGF Chapter 2 was the second-highest-grossing movie worldwide during its opening weekend with approx. $71 million. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore remained the top movie during the said period with $114 million.
