Box Office: KGF Chapter 2 Beats Bollywood Blockbusters To Score 10th Biggest 3rd Weekend In Hindi

Mumbai, May 2 - Prashanth Neel-directed "KGF Chapter 2" remained the top film in the third weekend at the Hindi box office and scored 20.77 crores net. The 3rd weekend total helped the total Hindi net collection to reach 369.58 crores net in 18 days.
The Yash-starrer period action drama film was up against two new big Bollywood releases in the form of "Runway 34" and "Heroapanti 2" in the 3rd weekend but it emerged as the first choice for the moviegoers as both new releases failed to attract mass audiences. Meanwhile, the strong show of "KGF 2" has helped to score the 10th biggest 3rd weekend in Hindi.
The dubbed Hindi version of "KGF 2" beat "Bajirao Mastani" for the 10th spot in the 3rd-weekend list. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed movie scored 20.51 crores net on its 3rd weekend in 2018. Salman Khan's all-time blockbuster "Bjarnagi Bhaijaan" had scored 19.98 crores net and is now 12th biggest in the all-time 3rd-weekend list in Hindi.
SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" is the highest-grossing Hindi film in the 3rd weekend with 42.55 crores net, followed by Aamir Khan's "Dangal" with 30.24 crores and Ajay Devgn's "Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior" with 27.32 crores at number 2 and 3, respectively.
"KGF 2" is expected to get a big boost in the collection over the 3rd week due to the Eid holidays and the full 3rd week could finish over 40 crores, which will put it in the top 5 third week collection movies of all time in Hindi.
