Mumbai, May 18 - Director Lokesh Kanagaraj's maidan collaboration with Thalapathy Vijay "Master" was a big blockbuster and now, the duo has reunited for gangster drama Leo which is even bigger in terms of budget and scale.

The "Leo" shoot is going on at a brisk pace and is on track for its worldwide release on October 19, 2023, in multiple languages. While Thalapathy Vijay plays the title release, the movie boosts with a solid star cast which includes Sanjay Dutt, and Trisha Krishnan, among others.



Now, according to Pinkvilla, Sanjay Dutt will be seen playing the role of Thalapathy Vijay's father in the movie. The report says both Thalapathy Vijay and Sanjay Dutt will be seen as a gangster and share a unique dynamic in Leo.

Thalapathy Vijay plays the role of a gangster in his 40s, who is staying in Kashmir, away from the world of gang wars by running a chocolate factory. The movie is packed with elevation scenes, action blocks, and high-octane drama with inter-character conflicts said to be one of the major highlights.

The shoot of the movie is expected to be wrapped by July and then the makers will have enough time in the post-production work to ready the movie for October release. Apart from the original Tamil language, "Leo" will also be released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Meanwhile, as reported earlier, the pre-release business, including the theatrical and steaming, of "Leo" is over 400 crores which is the highest ever for a Tamil movie by a huge margin. If all goes well, the movie has high chances of becoming the highest-grossing Tamil movie of all-time.
