Chennai, September 26: After months of speculations, Thalapathy Vijay has confirmed his maiden collaboration with Maharshi director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju. The much-awaited collaboration has been in the news for a long time now and the confirmation for the same has given immense joy to Thalapathy fans.

Announcing the collaboration, Dil Raju's production house Sri Venkateswara Creation shared a press release and also informed the audience that "many noted actors and a top-notch technical team" will be associated with the project.



"With immense pleasure and happiness, we at Sri Venkateswara Creations announce our first ever Tamil film with Thalapathy Vijay. We are extremely excited about this much-anticipated project and could not have asked for a better beginning than being associated with Thalapathy Vijay. This will for sure be the proudest project for us".

"Tentatively titled as #Thalapathy66, this film will be directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju and Shirish. Many noted actors and a top-notch technical team will be associated with this prestigious project. All the important information regarding the title and the crew will be announced officially very soon".

Vamshi Paidipally's last directorial was Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde starrer "Maharshi", which recently bagged 9 awards at SIIMA 2021. The movie had also won the National Award for providing wholesome entertainment. His first collaboration with Vijay is said to be a Tamil - Telugu bilingual movie.

Meanwhile, Thalapathy is currently busy shooting for his next, titled "Beast". Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, "Beast" also stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead opposite Vijay. The makers are eyeing summer 2022 for its worldwide release.
